Koto Labs ("we") respects and protects the privacy of people who use コトセツ (the "App"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and how it is stored and deleted.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign up with an email address or sign in with Apple, Google or LINE, we receive your email address, username and the account identifier from that service. Passwords are stored only in a non-recoverable (hashed) form.
- Content you enter or send: Text you type, photos you take or select, and other content needed to provide the App's features.
- Device and sign-in records: Device ID, device name and sign-in times, used to keep you signed in and to detect unauthorized sign-ins.
- Support requests: The email address and message you send us.
2. How we use it
We use this information only to sign you in and sync across devices, provide the App's features, protect your account, respond to your requests, delete your account, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.
3. Who we share it with (service providers)
To provide the App, we entrust or send data, to the extent necessary, to the providers below. They handle data only on our instructions. This includes providers outside Japan.

For features that use AI, the content needed for processing (such as text you entered or photos) is sent to the AI provider above.
4. Storage and deletion
- Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on the servers of the providers above.
- When you delete your account, we delete your account information and the data you saved in the App. See the "Account Deletion" page for how.
- We may keep information required by law, and the minimum records needed to prevent abuse, only for as long as necessary.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to disclose, correct, stop using, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the address below; we will respond without undue delay after verifying your identity.
6. Security and changes
We protect personal data with measures such as encrypted connections and restricted access. If we change this policy, we will announce it on this page and in the App.
